Binhai Science Museum - Bernard Tschumi Architects

I remember landing in Tianjin and couldn’t see a thing from the window. Immensely heavy smog. Far from ideal conditions for an architectural photoshoot. Unfortunately a reality that you have to deal with when working in China. However, as much as I was waiting for the sky to clear, the building was almost meant to be seen in smoggy weather. The colour of the panels seems to be working well in these weather conditions. And perhaps it shows that at time Tianjin was still under massive development.

The first picture is up till now still one of my favorite pictures I have taken over the years. Architectural photographers don’t always need blue sky.
