A research project looking at the commercial centres within the different public housing estates spread across Hong Kong.
Being a vital part of the society, these retail centres bring cross-generational people together. Analysis reveals different retail strategies used over the past 60 years since Hong Kong started building housing estates across the territory.
As a photographer I have contributed by visiting several retail centres and observe how these are used and have been adjusted over time since they were built over the past decades. The results will be several photo-essays that will be part of our research publication.
